The genus Phellinus sensu lato within Hymenochaetaceae represents an ecologically and medicinally important group of wood-decaying fungi. In Vietnam, records historically referred to Phellinus have appeared in taxonomic descriptions, culture-collection reports, medicinal-mushroom studies, biodiversity surveys, and DNA-barcoding datasets. However, these records are scattered across different sources and differ markedly in their level of taxonomic and molecular support. This study provides a conservative synthesis of published Vietnamese records related to Phellinus sensu lato and segregate genera, including Tropicoporus, Fulvifomes, Fuscoporia, Pyrrhoderma, Fomitiporia, and Porodaedalea. The synthesis compiles names as originally reported, recommended updated names, voucher or strain information, locality, collection date, GenBank accessions, and source citations. Eighteen published record entries or record groups were retained for assessment. Among them, six entries were directly linked to public GenBank accessions and are treated as the core molecular records: Phellinus vietnamensis, Tropicoporus linteus NTH-PL3, Fulvifomes siamensis Dai 18309, Fuscoporia gilva LE-BIN 4261, Fuscoporia sp. LE-BIN 5140, and Pyrrhoderma noxium LE-BIN 3337. Several additional records are associated with culture or enzymatic datasets but lack accessible accession numbers in the reviewed tables, whereas older records from medicinal and regional studies require further molecular verification. The results indicate that the number of traceable molecular records is still limited, but the available evidence is sufficient to establish a transparent baseline for future voucher-based taxonomy, sequence verification, and phylogenetic reconstruction of Vietnamese Hymenochaetaceae.
