Abstract

This study examines how biostatistical analytics capability contributes to environmental compliance and business sustainability through environmental monitoring and green knowledge acquisition. Guided by the natural-resource-based view, the study proposes eight hypotheses connecting five constructs. A cross-sectional survey was conducted using purposive sampling. Two hundred and ten (210) questionnaires were returned and used in data analysis. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Results indicate biostatistical analytics capability positively predicts environmental monitoring and environmental compliance, but does not significantly predict green knowledge acquisition. Environmental monitoring and green knowledge acquisition positively predict environmental compliance which lead to predict business sustainability. Mediation analysis indicates that environmental monitoring significantly mediates the relationship between biostatistical analytics capability and environmental compliance. However, the indirect effect through green knowledge acquisition is not significant. These findings highlight environmental monitoring as a pathway for translating analytical capability into compliance and suggest that firms should combine analytics with stronger environmental oversight and green knowledge acquisition.
